The famous chef Auguste Escoffier was born in Villeneuve-Loubet, and his birthhouse has become a museum of culinary art, unique in France. Escoffier was nicknamed « the king of cooks and the cook of kings » and updated French cooking methods and invented a lot of dishes, like the dessert « Pêche Melba », in honour of the Australian singer Nellie Melba. The chef cooperated with the hotelier César Ritz, founder of the Ritz Hotel in London, and he was also the chef of the Hotel Savoy in London.  The event "Fêtes Gourmandes" is a gastronomic, cultural and festive meeting that takes place twice a year in Villeneuve-Loubet, in memory of Escoffier.

The main office, settled close to the seaside, has recently been renovated to become more comfy. Accessible to everyone, it complies with the requirements of the “Tourisme&Handicap” label. A tourist information center is also open in the village. The whole team welcomes you and will coach you to plan your stay in the French Riviera. You can find on our website a set of offers and packages available for couples, groups or families, adaptable according to your wishes.
