The birthplace of the great chef Auguste Escoffier, this Provençal village located inland has managed to retain its authenticity. It is very popular for its calm, its picnics on the banks of the Loup, its green spaces, its market gardening and its gourmet restaurants. The walk starts at the Cultural Centre and goes along the banks of the Loup on the Promenade des Bugadières, then enters the heart of the village through the Jardin Escoffier. Going up the flowery alleys, you pass in front of the Escoffier Museum of Culinary Art to reach the square in front of the Church of St Marc.
Up there, at the foot of the ramparts of the fortress, the panorama overlooks the whole valley and opens onto the Pre-Alps of the French Riviera. The descent is made quietly by small stairs which lead us to the central square and its terraces of restaurants in the sun...
